I’ve never thought for one nano second that Rose was likeable. To the contrary, even as a 10 year old little leaguer, I despised Rose. His bluster and strut. Finding out later that he couldn’t follow a simple rule like not betting on baseball was not surprising.
Ball never touched him. But that’s Pete, wiling to take any advantage in his favor. I’m sure the person who was the most upset was Dick Drago. Not because Rose was awarded first, but that he missed.
