Watching the Os this year is almost unreal. I am a Mets fan but hope they get the WS this year. They deserve it.
Orioles vs Astros
This is the definition of a heartbreaker. Still a great game tho
As an Astros fan, I am just so impressed with the Orioles and how they played this game. Two heavyweights going at it, knocked down, get back up, knock the other down, they get up, etc. One team on the ascent, the other still powerful and trying to hang onto its crown. That Mullins HR is what it takes to win it all. Think of Alvarez’s home runs last year in the playoffs, from the first game through the last. Coming up big in big situations. The Astros bullpen is not as good as it has been, but that takes nothing away from the Orioles hitting in the late innings. The clutch HR and the ability to keep the AL leader in RBIs (Tucker) from getting home the tying run from third in the 9th inning with only one out. The Orioles won those two moments, and thus the game. Let’s see what happens next. Baseball is so weird, so frustrating, and yet so exciting!
i love this team man
Pressly, Maldonado, and Dusty need to be on their way. Dusty playing friends with Martin instead of going with Diaz who plays a third of the games and has 22 homers. Imagine his numbers if he played more. While Pressly’s on his knees blowing games. He doesn’t bring the fear like a Mariano Rivera or Lee Smith. When I saw him go in last night, I lost all confidence before he even threw his first pitch.

What an entertaining game to watch. Me (Astros fan) and my friend (O’s fan) watched together and the back and forth trading punches made the game exciting. These teams are so well matched but the fact that the Astros were playing at home made me think the O’s would win. At the end of the 7th and when the Astros went up by one run, and a full 30 minutes before it happened, I told my friend, “If this goes to the bottom of the 9th and our closer Pressly comes in, he’ll either blow the save or make it real stressful. He’ll give up a hit or two or walk, but someone will get on base”. Sure enough, two straight singles and then he gave up the bomb to Mullins. My friend was shocked that I called it. I have absolutely no confidence in Pressly. I’ve said it most of the season. A closer should not have an ERA close to 4, like Pressly has. That said, it was a highly entertaining game. Congrats Orioles fans. I hope for an equally entertaining game tonight. GO STROS!
