LOOK….. The Dodgers and Astro’s are miles ahead of us these past few years and nothings changed. Again we hemorrhage alot of extra bases between Casas and 1st base, but really it was the Astros brut power and batting that swatted us tonight. I fully expect to lose this series 3 zip, but it’s all about next season really. We have had some greal memories this season, Pablo Reyes Grammy and Garrett Whitlock popup catch and destroying the Yankies (not much of an achievement I know, they’re even more worse than us!)…. but I see a great team in there at Boston. A team that could win the World Series again! But I’m not even American, just an Irish European that’s been to Fenway once in all my life, and never to go to American ever again because I’m banned…. what do I know about baseball? Nothing. But I see loads of loose extra bases being handed out like penny candies out there, no consistence in doing the basics right from day to day, and a lack of calculated pitch risk evaluations in the bull pen. It’s like we are just looking to get this season done. Because the same problems have been there since April!
Alex Cora is telling upper management “please fire me” at this point. Happily threw a winnable game away by leaving a pitcher out there inning after inning who clearly didn’t have his best stuff. Why should I care as a fan if he doesn’t?
