The worst teams in each league match up
Practically the A’s are already out of the playoffs, but they can be mathematically eliminated as soon as Sunday ahead of their matchup with the Orioles. If the Orioles, along with the Astros, Rays, Blue Jays, and Rangers continue to win games corresponding with Athletics losses, then the A’s are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
It’s too bad that the cardinals can’t play the A’s all 162.
“The Law Dog closed the case on that one. Quick, fast and in a hurry.” I’m a Cards fan, that was an impressive first MLB home run by Lawrence Butler. St Louis likes the A’s, LaRussa and McGwire connections, McGee was traded there as well for a postseason run.
