Mariners .500 curse continues
With the exception of his balk, Cobb pitched well. His backdoor and sinking movement made his middle third pitches tough for Mariner hitters to get backspin on to get them in the air. Thank goodness Mariners made some stooge OF defensive plays to help the Giants score and thank goodness Giants OF defensive errors didn’t come back to haunt them.
Their dismal performances with RISP will, and has, cost them. Slater lead-off walk, ….. nothing! DON’T CREATE runs either (outside of Bailey’s bunts).
Boring game. Nothing exciting about this game.
I’m glad the FO and Kaps didn’t give up on Doval.

Schmitt has been playing some great D lately. It would benefit him to take BP off Ryan Walker and Jakob Junis, so he learns how to layoff pitches out of the zone and stay disciplined in it.
