A pitcher timer or any timer for that matter is so anti-baseball. Today’s people can’t enjoy anything that lasts more than thirty seconds. Sad.
Leave baseball alone.

Lets have two guys stand on home during extra innings and play thomb war to start off extras. Whomever wins dictates which player starts first at the immediately following tic tac toe match. This not only decides the days game but will now decide any future meetings with the clubs for 100 years. We wouldn’t want thier kids to have to break a sweat either. Pass this rule soon. Just end the whole mlb already. Start a new League. Play a new kind off ball called base. This one is called wuss.
Just a tail end millennial here but hate every rule change and stoped watching last year. Never again will my children, nephews, and nieces be brought to games, shown games, or bought products for from mlb teams.
You have gained nothing. Lost plenty. Square face 1930 looking German guy has nothing to say. Nobody wearing skinny jeans is lining up to go to baseball games for getting rid of stealing home plate. But Many people like me have and will continue to abandon baseball taking out offspring with us.

These are my ideas that I would like MLB to operate that I know will likely never happen:
1) 7 inning games……tie games recorded after bottom of the 9th during regular season
2) 7 player batting order……cancel DH position
3) Coaches have the opportunity to sub in and out pitchers and reorganize batting order between any innings each game
4) 132 regular season games……from the first week of April to the last week of August
5) 16 team playoffs, 7 game series each round starting on the first week of September to the last week of October
Barry Bonds would have hit 2000 home runs with these rules .

I watched a few minor league games last year with the pitch timer. I think it helps the pitcher by forcing him into a rhythm. It also gives a hitter less time to adjust to a change of speeds. If you like pitching, you should love this new rule.
