  1. Much respect for Toronto.

  2. Let’s get em tomorrow metsies. Justin looked pretty good after he took the ball off the tookus. The offense left a lot to be desired but I think they’ll pull through. LFGM

  3. Bassitt’s Baby Bump Battle Bedazzles and Baffles Batters. Excellent game today by Bassitt, all the best for his newest family member.

Varsho’s got some scary power too. He’s homered more than Vladdy at this point, and I think both of them will find their true swing really soon. Varsho’s blasts though, he hit that one to the middle row of the second deck bleachers, monster shot. I think of that and the ball he moonshot into the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh…fantastic power.

I hope I hear less of the impatient Jays fans saying the Varsho trade was a bust. He’s contributed to our excellent outfield defence and hit some absolute bombs. He’s coming in from the pre-2023 schedule of the Diamondbacks into arguably the hardest schedule of an AL East team. Meanwhile, Gurriel and Moreno did the opposite. Does that mean Varsho isn’t struggling for batting average and that Gurriel/Moreno aren’t earning their averages? No, absolutely not. The results aren’t optimal for us in this right now, but I have good faith they will even out or even turn over once Varsho is truly comfortable in this league. His potential is unreal and I’m here for all of it.

    • Lmao how charming.

Bo Bichette bravely battles bad bunts because beyond baseball breathes bleacher bombs!

  4. Sarah Langs is awesome and I hope MLB and everyone that can donates. The game is so much better when everyone is involved in it, Race, gender, age, it shouldn’t matter, baseball is such a great game that literally anyone can enjoy it. Be like Sarah and love the thing that makes you happy to the fullest.

  5. just when the mutts trick the poor souls who ‘believe’, they make you remember what they are really quick. That is a gutless, heartless, spineless pathetic excuse of millionaires. The tones are so easily foreshadowed- as soon as Springer jumped on that leadoff homerun, it was already over. That is the way this group plays. They give up runs in the first, go through the motions until they lose and then go shower in their massive amounts of money. More money, mind you, that you and I could only daydream about while we actually work. How could so many people be so utterly awful at their jobs but still get paid in winning powerball tickets?

yawn. same old, same old. lets bat a guy who is hitting .200 with a .275 OBP second and a guy who is slugging .350 third! Lets see how low Alonso’s average will drop because all he is doing is swinging for the fences! (final statline will be .207/.289/.465 with 31 HRs, 68 RBIs, 5 doubles and 230 Ks). Lets continue writing in names of guys who are “SLUGGING” between .300-.400! All while keeping the ONE GUY who is producing in the lineup batting…… NINTH!

Well, Mr. Upton, I hope you understand THIS is what you signed up for. An actual gutsy, inspiring, crafty start and you’re left with no runs and a loss. Likely why deGrom left. It is a shame- Verlander was the one guy who had an outside chance to be the last 300 game winner ever… well, at least until bobby boy manfred ruins the game even more and gives starters credit for a win if they complete three innings (he probably thinks the whole league is actually an MLBtheShow 3 inning diamond dynasty simulation). But Verlander signed with the Mutts. Such a shame.

  6. Fantastic Start from Bassitt spinning 7.2 innings of scoreless baseball while striking out 8 batters….After Mayza came into pitch Bassitt immediately left the ball park and headed to the Airport before this game was even over to be with his wife for the birth of their Child…Bassitt has been a Great addition to the Jays Starting rotation….

  7. If anything “Pride” is shown, I’m gone.

  8. Right on the tuchus

  9. Mets offense nonexistent again

  10. Oh great bass it is making babies

  11. Took long enough to post this
